Hospice care at home
Scheduled nurse and aide visits, medications, equipment and supplies delivered to your door, with an on-call nurse around the clock.
When treatment is no longer the goal, comfort is. Rosewood brings nurses, physicians, chaplains, social workers and volunteers to your door — so the days ahead can be spent where you feel most yourself.
Someone answers the phone at every hour — nights, weekends, and holidays.
We cannot add days without end. We can make sure the days that remain are comfortable, lucid, and spent among the people and things a person loves.
Hospice is not giving up. It is a change of aim — from curing an illness to caring for a person. Our team manages pain and symptoms aggressively, answers the phone at 3 a.m., teaches families how to give care with confidence, and stays with them for a year after a death. Most of our patients are cared for in their own bedrooms. Others are in an assisted living residence, a board-and-care, or a skilled nursing facility. Wherever that place is, we come to it.
You call. We listen. If hospice looks like the right fit, our intake coordinator confirms eligibility with your physician, verifies your benefit, and schedules an admission visit — often the same day, always within 24 hours.
At that visit we review medications, order whatever equipment is needed, and leave you with a comfort kit and a phone number that a real person answers. From that point on, you are never managing this alone.

Short stays at a partner facility when symptoms need intensive management, or when a family caregiver needs a few days of rest.
A physician-led plan for pain, breathlessness, nausea, anxiety and restlessness — reviewed and adjusted as often as needed.
A chaplain who meets you inside your own tradition, or none at all. Prayer, sacraments, life review, or simply company.
Help with advance directives, benefits, placement, family meetings, and the practical decisions that arrive all at once.
Thirteen months of grief support for families, plus trained volunteers for reading aloud, errands, or sitting with someone so a spouse can sleep.
Rosewood serves families across Southern California. We visit private homes, family homes, assisted living residences, board-and-care homes, and skilled nursing facilities. If you are not sure whether your address is covered, call and ask — we can often arrange care beyond our usual lines.
